Hello, I’m Aaron—the creative mind (and hands) behind Aaron Metal Works. My experience with jewelry began in high school, guided by my inspiring teacher, Mr. D, who introduced me to the artistry of metal and stone. I continued developing my skills at Johnson County Community College, where a dedicated professor helped me land my first professional role as a bench jeweler. There, I enhanced my fabrication and stone-setting skills, learning the vital details that make each piece unique.
After high school, I pursued a Fine Arts degree at Pittsburg State University, specializing in jewelry making under the mentorship of Marjorie Schick—an internationally renowned art jeweler. She encouraged me to see jewelry not solely as adornment, but as an exploration of space, function, and creative expression.
Although my path eventually led me into digital marketing, working with advertising agencies and corporate teams across Kansas City, my passion for jewelry never really faded. It was reignited through my daughter’s requests for custom pieces, inspiring me to create the jewelry I’ve always dreamed of making—pieces that are meaningful both to me and, I hope, to you.
Thank you for visiting my site and for your interest in my work. I look forward to meeting you at upcoming art shows and sharing my latest creations!
